Wisebird — Building a Trusted, Local-First Caregiving Assistant. Wisebird — A Local-First Caregiving Companion. We partnered with a leading caregiver support brand to build a conversational assistant that makes finding eldercare help less like searching and more like being guided. A secure experience designed to surface the right nearby programs and services, with the context and quality signals caregivers need to trust what they’re seeing, while connecting families to the client’s curated content and resources.

Most caregiving platforms can point you to a list. The harder problem is helping someone understand which options actually fit their situation—especially when quality varies and urgency is high. This product was built around locality-aware discovery, paired with a curation mindset so recommendations feel reliable, not random.

From “resources near me” to “options that make sense”

The assistant starts with natural language, but the goal isn’t conversation—it’s clarity. We translate open-ended concerns into a focused set of needs, then map those needs to local providers, services, programs, and community activities.

Each result is presented with enough framing to be actionable—so caregivers can make informed calls, book appointments, or explore support programs without doing hours of extra research.

Locality-aware by default

Availability, eligibility, and program quality change from city to city. We designed the recommendation flow to treat location and context as first-class inputs, so guidance reflects what’s realistically accessible nearby and what matters for that specific scenario.

That locality-first approach turns the product into a practical tool—not a generic directory with a chat UI on top.

Quality control through curation + first‑party data

To keep trust high, we built the system to incorporate curated resources and first‑party provider lists alongside public directories. This gives the client control over what appears, what gets prioritized, and how recommendations align with their standards.

It also creates a foundation for continuously refining quality as the ecosystem changes—without rebuilding the entire experience.

Built to stay useful over time

Caregiving isn’t one-and-done, so we anchored the experience in a secure account flow with conversation history. Families can return, revisit prior guidance, and continue where they left off as situations evolve.

In-product feedback loops help the team learn what’s useful and where recommendations need strengthening—so the platform improves as it’s used.

Outcome

Wisebird now helps caregivers quickly discover local options they can trust, with guidance that reduces noise and speeds up decisions. The client can maintain and evolve recommendations through operational tooling and curated data—keeping quality and relevance high as they scale.
